Creative zen

Creative ZenFew days back I just ordered one of these babies. My old cheap mp3 player died on me. Well, not really died, just went crazy. Skip the mp3 whenever it wants to. Sometime just refuse to play all together. When it’s in a good mood, it’ll play for me. Just fortunate I have a bulky cd/mp3 Sony discman. At least I don’t have to go to my students without any music.

Why I decided to get this? Many of the reviews I’ve read said that the sound quality is superb. 10 out of 10. That’s what mp3s are for in the first place, isn’t it? Secondly, it has a 2.5″ screen with rather crisp images. A classic ipod has 2.8″ screen. That’s not much of a difference. Thirdly, it is small. Exactly the size of a credit card or any bank card. Fits in your palm snuggly. Cute. Then, as I believe, many people who didn’t choose ipod is due to the file support. When you buy an ipod, it means you will have to buy everything from apple from then on for your player. This is not so with the Creative Zen. Only thing is, for videos you have to convert the videos to fit the 320 x 240 resolution of the screen. Though the ad said that you can upload any divx, wmv files. Finally, besides the price that is much cheaper than an ipod, the winning feature that bought me over is its capability to take sd card. Which means, potential extension of memory later on. The biggest memory I’ve seen is 16 gb. As you know technology, they will increase the size I believe so I will be expecting a bigger memory SD card later. :D If ever I need one that is.

Check out the quality of the video played on creative zen. I saw this on youtube. The guy played an anime series on his creative zen. Very exciting since I have my favourite anime that I would like to store in mine later. :)

They are available in 2 gb, 4gb, 8gb, 16 gb and the latest now 32 gb.

Isn’t it just cute?? ;)

Amigurumi dolls

Amigurumi dolls Pic from wikipedia.

These are Amigurumi dolls. Another of the Japaneses’ kawaii creations. Stuffed crocheted animal figures. From bears to little penguins. Looking at how cute they are, makes me wish that I can crochet. LOL I can a little bit anyway. So if you are a crafter or like to make new crafts. This is a must try. I’m checking out amazon whether I can buy a book on amigurumi crocheting.

One book on Amazon.com that has quite good reviews is this one.

Said to be perfect for beginners. Just got to try it first to know it myself eh? :D

Moved to wordpress

Previously this blog was hosted for free with blogger.com. However, after sometime I feel like trying a different blogging platform. Since I see that wordpress has many features, not to mention the nice designs too. Okay now that the move has been done, I can continue with the blogging! Plus the so many plugins that I would like to try out. :D

So far I’m liking it. :)

“Assumptions are the termites of relationships.”

~ Henry Winkler ~

In “Relationships … Gotta have them!?” we asked “What did you learn from your last breakup?” … below are just some of the many wonderful answers. To what degree did you experience the same in your last breakup?

My answer:

Blythe dolls

Posted by cuteness | Posted in Collectibles, Dolls | Posted on 05-04-2008

Blythe Dolls has been around since the early 1970′s. But only 30 years lated did it become famous among doll collectors. Thanks to Gina Garan a New York tv and video producer. She published a photography book of Blythe fashion dolls in 2002 and later that year Hasbro gave licence to a Japanese company to manufacture the dolls. These big head dolls became an instant hit. There are 2 types of Blythe dolls. New Edition of Blythe dolls (NEO) and the other one is petite blythes.

What make these dolls so much different than Barbie dolls except for the fact that they both have disproportionate bodies. Well, the Neo dolls’ eyes can be change colours while the petite blythes, just like pullip dolls, has movable eyelids. Another difference between Blythe dolls and Barbie dolls is that, Blythe dolls are not toys. The are not for children to play with. Collectors item.

The look so unique and cute, I believe that once you get hold of one you will never stop buying more. :) So how much one of these dollies? From 20 usd up to 300 usd. You can even buy set of clothes for them like below. A couple of complete kimono sets.

Darn cute!
