Cellular phones or handphones are becoming widely used every day. Just like the internet, it is a booming market. Nearly everyone has at least one phone. So much so, the sight of a cell tower may not be something foreign these days. In fact wireless phone companies are building more and more of them to give great network signals to their customers.

Today, I read about cell tower leases. In all my 10 years of using a cellphone, I have been ignorant of the matter. Landowners may lease their lands to wireless phone companies to build cell towers.Can be a very lucrative business for the landowners. Though not all land are suitable for building cell towers of course. It also has a lot to do with the topography of the land. Usually, if they higher the land is located the better it would be.

There are a couple of ways for these landowners to try to land a deal with wireless companies. Either contacting directly with the companies or through a consultant.

I think, if a landowner does not what to deal much with the land he or she owns, this may be one of the best way to derive income from a land.
