If you are not living under a shell somewhere, you may have heard the oil dispute between Ukraine and Russia some weeks back, and how it effected a few other European countries that depended on Russian gas. Being in one of those effected countries, we felt worried lest the issue were not resolve in time. Good thing that it did.
You see, in such times it makes us even more aware of how much we depend on these natural resources in our daily lives – Gas and electricity. We, my partner and I for one, like to find various Energy Saving ways.
For one, we use energy saving bulbs for all the lights in the house. As I’ve mentioned in one of the posts prior to this one, it was amazing to see how much money we could save by just using these energy saving bulbs instead of the ordinary ones.
We also have an electric blanket that can be put over the bed. At nights, the thermostat for the heater could be turned down and the blanket is used instead. Owing to the low voltage the blankets need to heat up, we save a bit on the gas and yet we stay warm in our beds.
Energy saving is addictive when you see how much you can save every month.
