The very first digital camera I ever had is a Canon powershot A400. A very basic compact digital camera. And that was about 5 years ago. I am still using it. It is still good even after all those years but I’ve grown weary of using the same ol’ gadget for so long. So I’ve finally thought to do an upgrade. The camera that I’m eyeing on is,
The Canon Powershot SX10 IS. It isn’t a professional camera but it is ,what I believe, called a Prosumer camera. Has the bells and whistles yet not ‘that’ expensive like a real professional camera.
I really want to get it but I don’t want to spend a lot of money right away. I can buy it even now, but I’d rather have a separate savings for it, which I just started out today. Have about 1/5 of the amount I need. If I cut on the junk food spending, I’d be able to save a lot. Looking at the picture would have the effect of appetite suppressants by itself.
So maybe will take me a few months or so to get it. Perhaps as a Christmas gift for myself?
If Nepal and Tibet are mentioned to me, the things that would come up to mind would be Buddhism, monks and meditation chants. However, I have never known of Tibetan singing bowl, until today.
When I first read the name I thought it would be some cheap plastic bowl that has some electronic gadget attached to it that when activated, you will hear a pre-recorded song. I was wrong. Here is what it really looks like. Well, doesn’t look so interesting does it other than looking like a lab pestle or a pounder.
But watch the video to know how it really works. Sounds amazing.
You can get one of these at silverskyimports.com. There plenty to choose from, with prices starts from as low as $49.98. There are also crystal singing bowl that functions the same but slightly different in sound. The store is actually offering plenty other items from both Nepal and Tibet. Nepali Gongs, Tingshas or Tibetan chimes, malas beads, prayer flags and more.
I have a few pounds to loose to reach my target weight. Need something fun to do at the comfort of my own home and rid of the unwanted weight at the same time. Sure, I can go for the best diet pills in the market, but playing games and exercise sounds to be a lot more fun way to get slimmer and healthier. That’s when I thought the Nintendo Wii game – EA SPORTS active – seems to be something that I should get.
It’s like having your very own personal trainer at home!
I was reading the Escapade of a gay traveler by Joseph Itiel, a book which I bookmarked on my google books when I suddenly felt a pang of homesickness for the country I left behind 3 years ago.
I think it is nice to be a traveler or someone who lives in a different country. But it is just as good to know that you can always go back to those that you are familiar with when ever you want.
With the internet you can now take virtual tours of places around the world without leaving your home. Of course it wouldn’t be the same as being there physically yourself but good enough to have a feeling of being there for a short while.
I found a website that has a collection of panoramic view in 360 degree of cities all around the world. 360cities.net. Just search for the city you are looking for and voila! a list of panoramic pictures from the city will be listed.
My homesickness is satiated. Well, for a while at least.
In the Pop cutie – street fashion simulation game, you will be living a life of a fashion designer and a boutique owner on your DS. In this DS game you will be roleplaying as a guy/girl who dreams to be a successful fashion designer.
To design clothes you have to talk to people and they will provide you with keywords. Look around for new colour ideas when you look at the flowers you find in the city. Combine the keywords and create new looks and choose the colours you want them to be in. Then start selling!
You start of by selling your creations at a flee market then go up from there. You get to hire employees according to how much you want to pay them and their skills (unfortunately no employee background check system here, ha ha) manage them, assign them to specific duties, and get them to wear your designs as an advertising scheme. Call the magazine to advertise the clothing of your choice. Also employ models at the modeling agency and make them display on the streets to lure more buyers to your boutique.
There are targets to be reached at each level. For example get fanatic fans of your clothing lines, win a fashion competition etc. Words of caution, you may get addicted to it.
