Digital Piggy Bank.

When I was a child I had a coin box where I collect left over coins from my daily school allowance. I was a money saver and still am. :) I recall myself counting my coins like Abenezzer Scrooge every time I wanted to know how much I had in the coin box. Strange enough, I found that the money kept decreasing in small amounts everytime I counted them… hmmm.

Would be great though if I had this digital piggy bank that keep tracks the amount of coins you have put it in.

Piggy bank counts and keeps track of spare change for you! Not your typical “piggy” - electronic slot and LCD screen automatically track and display your total savings. Twist-off lid for bulk deposits and withdrawals. Features count-up/count-down controls to keep total accurate. Great for teaching kids to add and save money. Requires two AAA batteries (not included). Plastic, 5 x 6 x 7″.

Imagine it as a countdown clock for you to be able to buy that new “something” that you are saving for. Wonderful product to aid you in teaching young children all about saving money don’t you think?

The cute digital piggy bank is selling for $29.98 at taylorgifts.com.

What would make a great gift for housewives?

Posted by cuteness | Posted in Gift ideas | Posted on 26-09-2008

In my opinion, there are times when one of the best gifts a house wife can get is something which is very practical. Something that can make her cleaning work a lot easier. One of those practical something can be a robot vacuum.

Robot vacuums have been in the market for quite some time now, but not every one would think that these vacuums can do a great cleaning job. As for me, I wouldn’t mind to get one of those good ones. Just turn it on and let it cruises on the floor to pick up the dirt and grime while you run along doing something else.

Below here is a video of an irobot dirt dog vacuum. Check it out to see the vacuum in action. This one suppose to be one of those good ones in the market right now. Selling rougly for $130 on Amazon.com.

Teach your child about food the fun way.

These day, learning about the things around us has been made a lot more fun than what I remember. Why is that so? Because there areĀ  many fun, educational toys in the market. My soon to be 3 year old loves to come along while I am preparing food in the kitchen to ask me about the ingredients. It is okay actually that she asks me. But my only problem when I had to refuse from allowing her to help me with the chopping and the stirring.

Of course you can find plenty of fake, plastic toy food, like plastic bananas, plastic sausage and such, but they are just too unrealistic. For example they cannot cut them up just like how mommy does. However, there is are toy food that your child can cut up and join them back up together.

Melissa and Doug cutting food box. The pieces are made of wood and attached together with velcro. So that why once the children have chopped them up, they can stick them back together and play all over again.

There are other sets to collect.

The sandwich making set. The pieces are all with velcro so the sandwich sticks together.

Pizza set. Pieces also with velcro. :)

So these are few of Melissa and Doug’s collection. You may collect them all and create a fun kitchen for your kids to play in. :)

Glow pets for your child.

Nearly all kids I know are afraid to sleep alone in the dark. Not surprising. Even I myself, sometimes hate to sleep in total darkness. :P That is why perhaps, there are many childrens’ night lights sold out there. One of them are the Glow Pets.

Not only they create a warm, safe feeling for your child, but they also make great decoration in the child’s room. :) The lights come in 3 characters as you can see in the picture above. Made of plastic and the lights come from low power consuming, battery operated LEDs. What’s nice about these glow pets, is that they change colours! Check out the video. :)

How much would they cost? About $15 each. :) Well depending where you can get them from. Just do a search for them, because there are many websites where you can buy them from.

Masks as collection.

Posted by cuteness | Posted in Collectibles, Gift ideas | Posted on 30-08-2008

The only kind of party that I would perhaps enjoy without having to feel so much self conscious is most probably a masquerade party. :D At least, days before the party I wouldn’t have to freak out, having to put lots of acne cream and acne scars cream on my face. Acne scars don’t look pretty at all even under make up. :( Well, besides that, I think masks are really fun to wear.

One of my acquaintances even have masks as a collection. Some of them are pretty creepy looking. But there are real beautiful ones, especially those that somehow looks like a Venetian mask. Until I saw her collection, I never thought that they would make a great collection and also gift.

Here are some great looking masks for you to feasts your eyes on. Taken from beautifulmasks.com.
