We all love Christmas don’t we? It is the time of giving and receiving. Though the receiving part is nice, the giving part is equally as nice if not better, especially when you get to watch the happy faces of those receiving the gifts. In reality, it all comes with a price. Christmas is one expensive celebration if you have a long list of people to get presents for. So what do people do to save? They shop on a Black Friday sales day. The day after Thanksgiving. This year’s Black Friday falls on the 28th of November.
On a Black Friday, people would line up in front of stores as early as 5 am. I don’t doubt some people even camp outside.
Anyway, with today’s internet shopping technology, why line up, when you can just do your shopping right from home, in front of your computers? That’s what people call the cyber monday sales shopping. The Monday when office workers come back from their Thanksgiving holiday, and continue doing their Christmas shoppings online.
There are many online merchants who give out great deals. If you want to know about all those great deals from various merchants, you can always check out Black Friday Online website. They have Buy.com Black Friday deals, Amazon specials, deals from Walmart and much more.
I love shopping online, I get excited just by writing about this.
Anyway, Happy Shopping!

Trying to form reading habits on your children? Here is where you can start. Online Children’s library at Childrenslibrary.org. There are books from about 73 different languages. The books are scanned, so if there are any picture books, your child will be able to read them in full colours.
Here’s what a book would look like when you read it on the browser. This is the featured book called “The Blue Sky”. Read it plenty of times myself.

In case you don’t know already, you can insert the Children’s book of the day gadget on your igoogle page. That would look like so.

I love this website.

People love high quality reception when ever they use their cellular phones, but despise the look of the cell towers that are needed to give them that kind of quality that they want. They are considered as an eyesore. So what do wireless companies do? Disguise them.
Some of them were made to look like flagpoles, some pine trees, palm trees, cacti, house, and steeple of churches.

Some Counties even require the cell towers to be camouflaged. But since it is nearly 4 times more expensive to have a disguised cell tower than a metal cell tower, they only do that to some of the cell towers where it require them the most to do so.
The usage of cell phones are not only a convenience to many of us but it opens up a new way of income earning by some property or land owners. Reason is, the more cellular phone users, the more cell towers are needed. Land owners can actually make money by leasing their land, or properties for the purpose of building cell towers.
So if you have a land or property which is located in a strategic place for a cell tower, you may get a passive income on a monthly basis this way. Or if you do not want to get monthly payment and would like to get a lump sum payment, you may even sell your lease to companies that actually buys them. You can estimate the value of your lease by using something which they call the wireless blue book.
Anyway, I think the disguised towers are rather interesting.

The last vacation we had, which was in July, we rented an apartment instead of a hotel room. It was our first time doing so. So we had our own small kitchen, living room, and other facilities that made us quite like at home. It was much better than staying in a hotel I think. Now, that was when began to dream of having our very own vacation home.
The only drawback with vacation homes is that, if you want the comfort of a vacation home you get to go to one place only i.e; where your vacation home is located. Though it would not be a problem for us but it would be nice to have a portable vacation home that you can take to places. Doesn’t the idea of a portable vacation home sound odd? Well, not odd enough to designer Anton Markus Pasing. Because he actually designed Blue-Me portable vacation homes.
This is what a Blue-Me portable vacation home looks like.

I mean the yellow structure behind the lady.
Here is how it looks like from different angles.

This home comes with all the comfort your very own home could give. Living room, equipped kitchen, tv etc. It can be connected with externel energy and water sources. You may even get your power using solar panels if you are more comfortable with that.
Are these vacation homes for sale? Well, sadly no. Since the designer has yet to convince manufacturers the potential of these portable vacation homes.
They do look cute to me, but are they really convenient? You need to use a forklift to carry these things to put on a truck and move them? Technology is fun sometimes, but there are times the old fashion vacation homes are much preferred. Strange too that the name is Blue-Me when it’s yellow.

It has been quite a warm day, and it made me think of air conditioning. When we were back in a warm climate country, we had an air-conditioner in the bedrooms. It is rather normal for people to have air conditioner since it is always hot all year round. But when you only have a few hot months in Summer, not many people install air conditioning here in Europe I think. However, it is becoming popular these days to have air conditioner installed.

As I was sitting here thinking about how nice it would be to have air conditioning now, I wondered who was the inventor of this wonderful invention. Well, if you want to know, it was Willis Haviland Carrier. The father of modern air conditioning. Air conditioner was invented and first used in 1902.

Though it was not till 1928, Carrier created the “weathermaker”, private homes Carrier air conditioner installation units. Took him more than 20 years to finally bring the great invention into peoples’ homes, but I am glad he thought of it.
This is just a short history about air conditioning. You can of course read more about it in other websites. That is, if you are interested to know more about it.
