Christmas is months away but I’ve already started on a Christmas gift list. For one reason, we don’t like last minute shopping, secondly, when we know what we want to buy, when we see the item on sale we can buy it cheaper.

Of all the things that I like to plan on buying, besides my own presents , are things for my daughter. This year we may get a pretend kitchen for our lil’ girl. She is in the age when kids like to play pretend games.

My eyes are on Kidkraft’s Pastel play kitchen set.

The pretend kitchen is made of wood. Comes complete with an oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, sink, shelves, play clock, etc. The things look quite similar to the real ones. From the pictures, even the kitchen faucet looks like one of Moen faucets collection. Really cute.

I prefer wooden toys to plastic ones. Because wooden ones tend to be much more durable. Price varies depending on where you get them from but price is usually below $200.

I’m not sure why when little kids pretend to be adults they look kind of cute. We buy them real working toys that look like our real gadgets – mobile phone, digital camera, laptops, and even cars.

For £299 you can get your child his or her first BMW. Well, a battery operated one that is.

Tamagotchi with colored screen came out sometime in October or November last year, in Japan that is. As I heard that BanDai does not have any plans to market it in English. Whyyy???!! I could cry when I read that piece of sad news.

The black and white ones are cute, with color it would be even more cuter! It would be such a great hit for tamagotchi fans all over the world. As it is many are just drooling for one.

The only way to get your hands on one of these is by ordering them from Japan. One of these costs about $50-60. That’s just crazy. Isn’t there any websites like those insurance quotes specially for tamagotchis?  Where you can just find the cheapest price for the tamagotchis? They really should have one. Price isn’t my only qualm but the language. Should  have really sat down and learn Japanese.

We have Tutuki Bako – poke a pet box from Bandai that allows you to poke your virtual pet. Takara Tomy came up with Yuruppy virtual pets that you can stroke. From a touch screen that is.

3 pets to choose – cat, dog and chicken. All you have to do is rub the screen to interact with it. Comes with 14 mini games. Will cost $21 for the regular version, and $38 for the deluxe version.

Heard that there is a coloured version of Tamagotchi’s out in Japan. I can’t wait for it to be available for us from other parts of the world! Wish there are cool websites like the many insurance quote websites where you can easily find the best bargain for virtual pets like these. *sigh*
